The problem with trains, of course, is that you only get to go where the track takes you. And today the track has taken us through northern Sweden, a corridor of the country which seems to consist entirely of flat land, pine trees and lakes. It’s fair to say that this has not been a fair comparison with the splendours of Norway.
So I don’t have much to blog about. Sorry. The sleeper takes us to Stockholm in the morning, and then Europe’s borders cluster together again after the long hours of Scandinavia. Tomorrow we have four trains to take and via Copenhagen and Hamburg we will find ourselves tomorrow night in Berlin. See you there and then.
I realise this post has been terrifically unfair to Sweden. Sorry Sweden.
